Red Carpet Recap: 2013 Academy Awards

Happy Monday/ Tuesday!

I just finished doing my homework, but before I call it a night, I shall breeze through my red carpet recap of the biggest night in Hollywood: the 85th Academy Awards! :D

Let's start? ;)

Anne Hathaway -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Anne Hathaway

The Best Supporting Actress winner looked absolutely gorgeous in her light pink duchesse satin backless column gown by Prada and her Tiffany & Co. jewels -- that necklace is what you call a wow necklace, haha! ;)

This whole ensemble is just absolute perfection, right down to the smallest detail!
I'm so happy Anne won! :D

Jennifer Garner -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck

I have nothing but good words for this woman...
Jennifer Garner looked flawless in her custom Gucci gown and Neil Lane jewels -- so beautiful!
And how awesome was Ben's speech?!

Amy Adams -

85th Annual Academy Awards - People Magazine Arrivals

Amy Adams always looks picture perfect! She looks good in everything! ;)
Her Oscar de la Renta gown is so breathtaking!

I hope Amy gets her turn to win an Oscar soon!

Salma Hayek -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek looks like a goddess in her velvet Alexander McQueen gown!
The gold embellished collar adds the perfect detail to the dress. :)

Amanda Seyfried -

85th Annual Academy Awards - People Magazine Arrivals: Amanda Seyfried

Amanda looked so so so pretty in her Alexander McQueen gown -- sweet and subtle!

Sally Field -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Sally Field

Sally Field is a classic beauty, so timeless!
This embroidered tulle illusion gown from Valentino's SS13 Haute Couture collection is so beautiful on her! :)

Adele -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Adele

Halfway to an EGOT!!! :D
So happy for my favorite singer of all time -- she is now an Oscar winner, wow! :D

And not gonna lie, after the whole Grammys floral ensemble, I am happy to see her back in her signature black dress -- this Jenny Packham creation is pure Adele!

Jennifer Lawrence -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Jennifer Lawrence

This girl is now officially my idol -- a Best Actress Oscar at the age of 22?! WOW!

I am quite unsure about this Dior Haute Couture dress, but I do love the diamond detail going around her neck. And I am loving her Chopard earrings!!!

With her big win and her graceful rise from falling on the stage steps, does it really matter what Jennifer Lawrence is wearing? ;)

Naomi Watts -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Naomi Watts

I think she looks really beautiful, but I am kind of iffy about the cutout of this Armani Privé gown...

Jennifer Aniston -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals: Jennifer Aniston

I don't think this Valentino dress is the right gown for Jennifer Aniston -- I think it looks frumpy on her.
And the hair... c'mon Jen, it's the Oscars! :/

Kristen Stewart -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

This strapless gown by Reem Acra, the hair, the makeup -- just not working out for me. :/
Why does it look like she didn't even shower for the Oscars???

But, gotta give her kudos for still being there despite being injured! :)

Brandi Glanville -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

One word: Ew!
Seriously?!

I also just wanted to include a picture of the cutest expectant parents: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum -

85th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Awwwwwww! :D

There we have it, my quick recap of the 2013 Academy Awards red carpet!
I know I missed other red carpet ensembles from other celebrities, so tell me...

Whose look did you like the best? Whose look did you not like at all?
What did you think of this year's Academy Awards show?

I hope you are all having a great start to the week!

Perfume Collection: BVLGARI Omnia Green Jade

Happy Thursday/ Friday!

Just squeezing in another quick post to share with you guys one of the perfumes in my growing (I hope!) perfume collection...

Back in December, I shared with you guys my haul from Apothica and SkinCareRx:

One of the things I got is a perfume...

Eeeeeee, so excited! :)

See how well they wrapped this perfume?
There is no way the bottle is gonna break! ;)

BVLGARI Omnia Green Jade Eau de Toilette Spray (2.2 fl.oz.)

The famous jeweler is well known for its fine gems. This floral aquatic for women is elegantly designed from its scent and its beautiful flacon. Symbol of luck and prosperity, this lovely and light fragrance opens with fresh accords of green mandarin and spring water, and blending notes of white peony, pear blossom, and jasmine. Base notes include pistachio, blond wood, and musk.

Bvlgari introduces Omnia Green Jade — a new, precious, joyful fragrance inspired by the enchanting and sophisticated aura of the Jade gemstone. This crisp, floral green scent arouses a spirit of fresh floral emotions and embodies the natural, distinctive young woman seeking a sensual signature essence as pure and enticing as the first spring blossoms.

Notes:
Spring Water, Green Mandarin, White Peony, Nasturtium, Pear Tree Flower, Jasmine Petals, Fresh Pistachio, White Woods, Musk

The bottle is so unique!
And I love the color! :D

It smells great -- very fresh and light!
Every time I use this, people always ask me which perfume I'm wearing. :)

Price: $79 (But I bought it for $51 -- score! Thank you, Apothica!)
Also available in: Omnia Coral, Omnia Amethyste, and Omnia Crystalline

Which perfumes are in your collection? Have you tried any of BVLGARI's perfumes before?
Do you like to buy stuff from Apothica and SkinCareRx too?

Yay for Friday!
Have a good one, guys! :D

Must-Have: GoJane Lace-Up Wedge Booties

Happy Monday!!!

I just wanted to quickly share with you guys my new favorite and new must-have shoes:
my Lace-Up Wedge Booties from GoJane! :D

I bought these back in December because I wanted new shoes to wear for Christmas... little did I know that this pair will eventually turn into my new favorite shoes!

Who doesn't love getting packages?! ;)

Aaaaahhh, new shoes!!!

Seeing that gorgeous chestnut color totally made my heart jump with excitement!

LACE-UP WEDGE BOOTIES
$31.90

This is one sturdy shoe! Try knocking me over while I'm wearing these hidden-wedge booties. Not a chance!
Detailed with faux suede. Finished with lace-up front and zippered side-closure. Solid-colors.

 Heel height: 4.5 inches
 All Man Made Materials
 Imported

I am a petite girl who isn't so comfortable with wearing heels, but I love these shoes!
They make me feel tall (yay!) without the worry that my heel might snap or something of that sort, haha!

At 4.5 inches, the heel height may seem a bit too high (especially for high heel newbies like me), but because of the lace-up front and zippered side-closure, your feet are snug and in place. The shoe also rests right on the ankles, so that definitely helps a lot. :)

I also thought it would be nice to show you guys two of my outfits featuring my new shoes...

Outfit #1:

Black Crochet Top from DaisyRae Boutique (more on this on a future post!)
Black Tank Top
Black Leggings
Gold Cuffs

I don't know why, but lately I've been leaning towards wearing all-black outfits... could it be because I'm getting older? Haha! ;)

And of course, my Lace-Up Wedge Booties:

Outfit #2:

Yellow BB Dakota Coat
Burgundy Calvin Klein Dress
Brown Tights
Brown Belt
Necklace/ Diamond Ring/ Santa Claus Hat Ring

I wore this outfit for Christmas, hence the Santa Hat Ring, haha...

Okay, complete opposite of Outfit #1 in terms of color, haha! ;)

And again, my Lace-Up Wedge Booties:

They are comfortable, but of course it wouldn't feel like walking in ballet flats -- it's still high and your feet will still be arched, so a little discomfort is inevitable... but personally, I can bear a little pain if the shoes make me feel good and look good! ;)

Bottomline, these Lace-Up Wedge Booties were a great buy, a definite winner!
I actually want to buy it in other colors.

GoJane has a ton of gorgeous items that I would so love to buy and keep in my closet, haha!
Their shoes alone are enough to drain my wallet! ;)

Which shoes are on your must-have list/ wishlist?
Have you bought anything from GoJane before?
Are you a high heels-kinda girl?

I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the week! :D

Happy Friday!

I can't believe I haven't shared a music video/song with you guys in a long time -- the last one was way back in October! :O

Well, let's do something about that right now... here is Phillip Phillips' just released music video for his song Gone, Gone, Gone:

"Like a drum, my heart never stops beating for you..." -- I love this line!
And I love this song! :D

What do you guys think? Do you like it?
Which song is stuck in your head right now?

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
And happy long weekend to everyone in the United States! :D
